| 'MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL'
You say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news On September 11, 2001. Neither will I.
I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room with a man who called his wife to say 'Good-Bye.' I held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the peace to say, 'Honey, I am not going to make it, but it is OK..I am ready to go.'
I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their children. I held her up as she tried to understand his words and as she realized he wasn't coming home that night.
I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a woman cried out to Me for help. 'I have been knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!' I said. 'Of course I will show you the way home - only believe in Me now.'
I was at the base of the building with the Priest ministering to the injured and devastated souls. I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He heard my voice and answered.
I was on all four of those planes, in every seat, with every prayer. I was with the crew as they were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the believers there, comforting and assuring them that their faith has saved them.
I was in Texas, Virginia, California, Michigan, Afghanistan. I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense Me?
I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew every name - though not all know Me. Some met Me for the first time on the 86th floor.
Some sought Me with their last breath. Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the smoke and flames; 'Come to Me... this way... take my hand.' Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me. But, I was there.
I did not place you in the Tower that day. You may not know why, but I do. However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for Me?
Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey for you. But someday your journey will end. And I will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are 'ready to go.'
I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

| "Free to enter His Presence" "When Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom." Matt. 27:50-51
It's as if the hands of heaven had been gripping the veil, waiting for this moment. Keep in mind the size of the curtain - sixty feet tall and thirty feet wide. One instant it was whole; the next it was ripped in two from top to bottom. No delay. No hesitation. What did that torn curtain mean? For the Jews it meant no more barrier between them and the Holy of Holies. No more priests to go between them and God. No more animal sacrifices to atone for their sins. And for us? What did the torn curtain signify for us? We are welcome to enter into God's presence - any day, any time. God has removed the barrier that separates us from Him. The barrier of sin? Down. He has removed the curtain.

| Casting Crowns! What an encouragement and joy to attend the Casting Crowns Concert last night with my bride. What a ministry from a church man, with a tremendous heart for youth. I encourage all to listen to them. Have a great day in Jesus. | | |
| From the closing paragraphs in Total Church... "If we are culturally relevant, we might add, but have not love, we gain nothing. If we preach the finest sermons, but have not love, we are resounding gongs. Indeed, if we write books about mission and church, but have not love, we are just clanging cymbals! Attendance at meetings, involvement in evangelism, an ability to handle the Bible, starting new initiatives, a reputation for being sound (or radical), all of these, in and of themselves, indicate nothing unless they are a hearts response to the deep, passionate love of God and emerge out of a deep, passionate love for God." "My hope is built on something less than Jesus blood and righteousness; I trust my skills, I trust my fame and maybe sometimes Jesus' name." "It was Augustine who first summarized the Christian life with the words: 'Love God and do as you please.' The older we get, the more we are persuaded by that deceptively simple maxim." | | |
| Greetings and guacamole! I seem to have lost touch with many of the people I love dearly as I do not see many entries on Xanga. I know that I have not updated for over a month. It is kinda weird knowing that the entries are publicly viewed, which impacts what we enter. Obviously the Lord is always good to us - sometimes it just seems to take us longer to realize it. A greater peace and joy have overwhelmed us during this time in our lives that have been directed by the Lord. We are praying for God's direction regarding which local church He desires for us to minister through. We hope to make a decision regarding Grace Church in Rootstown in the month of February. Meanwhile we are continuing on with the open doors the Lord has given us. In February, I will be going to Ensenada to continue training the pastors and continue to develop a national strategy for the multiplication of churches in Mexico and coordinate this efforts with ETBIL Latin America. In March I will be training pastors in the Dayton area and helping them launch their Antioch Schools. I April, I am planning on going to Australia with Jeff Reed to meet with C-BTE Australia and help them launch their Antioch Schools and Resource Centers. I also am setting up dates to continue the training with the pastors I began with in years past. Thank you for your continued support and prayers as we continue to move forward in the mission. Thanks be to God for His victory. You are all in my prayers as well. | | |
